I was looking around for some good typography posters to get some ideas on another project and came across these ads for burger king. Ive never personally saw them they may just have been made for something else or someone made them, there wasnt any information with them but they are awesome. The illustrations are amazing on top of the use of type to use the space of the object.

I posted before about the artist Halfanese. I recently just went to his site again seeing if he did any more recent work and I came across these two pieces. They are absolutely stunning his detail in stockings in the first picture blows me away. He is an amazing artist/illustrator.

Mike Giant

Mike Giant is a well known fine artist, graffiti artist, and tattooist. He is by far one of my favorite artists ever. His work is based off of graffiti works, and heavy based pen and marker images/work. His style ranges from graffiti art to old school traditonal tattoo art. His attitude towards his work is incredible. He works super hard to finish his work rather it be a pen based piece or a tattoo. He doesn't fool around or take anything for granted.

Caligraphy

I recently came across this guy who does caligraphy, Luca Barcellona. I watched his video atleast 4 times in a row. I was automatically blown away by his craftmanship, how steady his hand was doing this piece, and how incrediably awesome the piece came out of. I really enjoy any type of typography so this was a great watch.

We recently did our famous designer projects and even though I did David Carson but I felt immediately drawn to Art Chantry. After seeing the presentation and the works he did I immediately researched him and began to be amazed. His works are amazing I wish I knew about him sooner. His use of bright colors and his attitude towards almost everything is hilarious and he makes himself out to be almost an asshole. I'm glad someone did him in our class, it opened the door for me to all his works.

I recently came across this illustration the artist is unknown. I love the overall imagery of it. I almost get a sense of calmness but as you see in the background its on fire and planes are flying and its almost a double negative. You get calmness but also a sense of chaos.

One of the bands I listen to just released a new album and this is the artwork for the cd. To me I think its such a well done piece. No artist named, would like to know who made it though.

Now I said I'd be posting more towards graphic design stuff and posters/ad/commercials etc. I also wanted to post drawing, sketches, illustrations anything too. Well I came across an artist Halfanese who does incredible illustrations which are almost life-like. I really love stuff like this especially because of the whole backdrop and setting with the graffiti and also because she is on a track bike. To me the photo alone is awesome but Halfanese did an amazing job on this. Go check him out and more of his works.

On my daily web surfing I usually go to a select number of sites. I recently just noticed on a bike website that the owner of the blog/site has his own icon/logo. I thought it was right on point and a very awesome illustration.

Also one of my favorite bands started a contest where you color their selected drawing and if yours is the best you get free stuff well I thought the drawing/illustration was cool.
